In this site you will find the inner workings of Studio #533, as well as a connection to the Theatre Department activities.  Here is your chance to keep updated on homework assignments, theatrical & classroom events, and resources to prompt further research and thought around the artistry of Acting, Public Speaking, Debate, & Back-Stage Tech.

Barrett Rules...............

1. Always strive to do and be your best.  Participate to the fullest of your ability -- community growth depends on the inclusion of every individual voice.  It’s okay to make mistakes; they’re part of the learning process. Take a chance and you just might learn something new. 
2.  Respect the classroom community.  Listen actively -- respect others when they are talking. Do not interrupt the teacher or another student when he or she is speaking, performing, or presenting.  Differences of opinion are welcome in the learning environment; however, name-calling, insults, and foul language are un-acceptable. Be conscious of body language and nonverbal responses -- they can be as disrespectful as words.
3. Be honest in your work.  Speak from your own experience instead of generalizing ("I" instead of "they," "we," and "you"). The goal is not to agree -- it is to gain a deeper understanding. Plagiarism and cheating not only rob you of a learning experience, but also rob someone else of their ideas and hard work.  I expect all work to be yours and yours alone. 
4. Create and keep a clean atmosphere.  Avoid harming any school property including the classroom desks, materials, and books in the classroom while always maintaining a clean area.  I will also not touch or mess with other people’s property. 

5. Go P.R.O. Be Prepared to learn, Respect others, & take Ownership for your actions.
